What to Expect

After pickup from your Kuala Lumpur inn, you'll travel pretty nearly two hours south in a cozy air-conditioned coach on a day outing to Malacca, the most ancient trading port in Malaysia. In this Malacca day tour, you'll get to discover the compelling blend of British, Chinese and Portuguese cultures in the beautiful and amazing architectures.    To start with you'll visit Dutch Square (Stadthuys) to see the striking red 17th century structures that were earlier the offices of the Dutch governors. Then, take a short stroll up St Paul's Hill for a scenic view of Malacca, the Malacca Strait and the old town center called Bandar Hilir. You'll see the remnants of St Paul's Church and note the beautifully embellished 17th century Dutch headstones that line the inner part.    Post seeing St Paul's Hill, bask into a nearby restaurant where you will savor a delicious Nyonya lunch.
